The group is demanding answers for potential deadly side effects of vaccines, arguing that the EMA's approval of vaccines was both "premature" and "reckless"

A group of doctors and scientists wrote an open letter calling on the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to review the safety of the new COVID-19 vaccines that are still undergoing experimental trials.

The group, called Doctors for Covid Ethics, addressed the letter to Emer Cooke, the Executive Director of the EMA, and sent it out on March 1. They asked for answers to questions about COVID-19 vaccines, suggesting that if they are not be answered, the EMA should withdraw the vaccines’ authorization.

“There are serious concerns that the approval of the COVID-19 vaccines by the EMA was premature,” the letter reads, adding that it was also reckless in nature.

The letter further depicts serious potential consequences of using COVID-19 vaccine technology, warning that dangerous and deadly side effects such are autoimmune reactions, blood clotting abnormalities, stroke, and internal bleeding, are all possible in the brain, spinal cord, and heart.

COVID-19 vaccines have been approved in some countries but strictly for emergency use as they continue to undergo trials. Little is yet known about potential long-term side effects of vaccines.

According to Science Norway, some Norwegian medical experts believe that some reports of fatalities following COVID-19 jabs were due to the “deadly blood clots caused by the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine”.

Earlier in March, some countries in the EU banned the AstraZeneca vaccine over concerns of blood clots in vaccinated patients. While it was later deemed that the vaccine was safe, the link between the vaccine and blood clots remains a mystery. It has also determined in a survey by YouGov that the temporary ban on the AstraZeneca vaccine resulted in a higher rate of distrust of it.

Unlike AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna are two vaccines that use new mRNA-based technology. While the group stated they are “supportive in principle of the use of new medical interventions,” they added that the concerns outlined are serious and must be addressed.

The COVID-19 virus is responsible for over 2.75 million deaths globally, and as a result some countries have approved select vaccines to inoculate populations, however, there is still widespread controversy over the safety of using the vaccines which were produced in record time.
