In an Instagram video posted by Chris Sky, Vancouver airport staff was seen violating travellers’ rights by detaining a couple who refused to take an invasive COVID-19 test. The couple called Chris Sky for help when the airport security threatened to take away their driver’s license if they did not take the test and go to a government-enforced quarantine facility. The couple was allegedly taken into an isolated room and told they could lose their driver’s license for up to two years if they do not submit to a COVID-19 test.
After receiving the call from the couple, Sky told them to say, “this is a violation of section six of my Charter Rights, section 14.1 of my Quarantine Act. I am a Canadian citizen, I decline your test, I decline your quarantine, and if you don’t let me go right now, I am calling 911 and have you charged for kidnapping.”
According to Sky’s Instagram story, after spending the initial two hours with the airport security, the couple was released within three minutes of talking to Sky and reciting what he told them.
