A former member of Premier Doug Ford’s caucus, Roman Baber, has introduced a private member’s bill to reduce MPP salaries to CERB amount of $500 per week.

Baber, who is a York Centre MPP, has denounced the lockdown in the past, calling it “deadlier than COVID.” He wants MPPs to “appreciate the consequences” of shutdowns by reducing their salaries to what some Canadians are receiving as part of the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.
