After nine minutes the rocket’s first stage returned to Earth, landing smoothly on a SpaceX drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship goes by the name “Of Course I Still Love You”. Its job is to catch falling boosters and return them to port.
As of February 4, SpaceX has launched more than 1,000 Starlink satellites into orbit and plans on many more.
“Falcon 9 will launch NASA’s SPHEREx mission – which will collect data on more than 300 million galaxies and explore how the universe began,” SpaceX tweeted.
